Accepted Items

We accept all types of electronics & equipment for computer recycling

What electronics can be recycled?

Most common electronics can be partially recycled due to their high metal content. This includes cell phones, computers, tablets, printers, scanners, televisions, cameras, audio and video equipment, shredders, thermostats, and appliances like microwaves, toasters, and air conditioners.

Your business may also use other electric machinery that can be recycled depending on the industry. Feel free to give us a call if you have items you aren't sure can be recycled (but it probably can!)

As an EPA registered facility, no matter what type of e-waste you generate, Regentech can help you dispose of it the right way.

Why should I recycle electronics?

Many states and municipalities have created e-waste disposal laws because electronics contain heavy metals and chemicals that can leech into the environment when landfilled. It's important to keep substances like mercury, cadmium, and arsenic out of local landfills to prevent soil and groundwater contamination that can harm people's health. Depending on where you live, recycling or donating electronics may be the only legal ways to manage your business's e-waste.

Computer recycling also plays a crucial role in sustainability. Recovering materials from used electronics reduces the need for virgin materials mining, as with other forms of recycling. Precious metals are often used in electronics, which are expensive, challenging to mine, and highly recyclable. According to the EPA, recycling 1 million cell phones recovers around 35,000 pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold, and 33 pounds of palladium.
